Teldio Edge Gateway
The Teldio Edge Gateway is a hardware appliance that brings physical and legacy equipment into a modern software stack. Some connections cannot be made over a network — a fire panel relay, a dry contact, a serial device, an older industrial controller, a cabled radio link. The Edge Gateway provides the physical interface for those connections and hands the events up to Teldio Fabric, where the logic runs. It is purpose-built hardware, not a general-purpose server.

Brings Legacy Equipment Forward
Plants and campuses run equipment that predates current networks and has no API — and replacing it is rarely justified when it still works. The Edge Gateway meets that equipment where it is, on the interfaces it already has, and makes its signals usable by current software.
Protocol Coverage Across Building and Industrial Systems
The gateway handles the protocols these environments actually use, including Modbus, OPC, MQTT, SNMP, Serial ASCII, POCSAG, and SIP. Teldio reports compatibility with systems from Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Genetec, Bosch, and Rockwell Automation among others.
Local Operation and Resilience
Because the gateway sits on site and handles its connections locally, an internet or WAN interruption does not stop a dry contact from firing a local alert. That separation of duties — hardware in the field, logic above it — is the reason the two products are usually deployed together.
Radio Integration Without a Network Path
For organizations whose radio system has no IP interface, the gateway provides a cabled bridge into the radio network. That is often the piece that makes the rest of a project possible, because it is what allows alerts to reach handsets.
