It provides dual PA interfaces, extensive messaging capacity, and support for live, text-to-speech, and pre-recorded voice and tone alerts — all controllable through Federal Signal’s intelligent notification systems.
Seamless Networked Communication & Alerting
With IP connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) or optional AC power support, the Informer-PA delivers synchronized messaging through indoor and outdoor alerting infrastructure. Pairing this interface with Federal Signal’s Commander® control system enables unified management of warning messages, live public address, and notification zones.
High-Capacity Message Storage & Flexible Output
Each Informer-PA interface provides up to 4,000 messages or approximately 17 hours of pre-recorded tone and voice alerts stored locally on a removable microSD card. Dual relay outputs support external device control such as zone selection or visual indicators, and an RS-232 port enables driving scrolling message displays to match audible announcements.
Rugged, Flexible Mounting & Easy Installation
Housed in a 19” 1RU rack unit that can be mounted in rack cabinets or installed on walls or desktops, the Informer-PA includes rear connectors for quick wiring, front panel status indicators, and compatibility with Federal Signal’s wide-area notification ecosystem.
